Stumbled on a stocked H&M by accident (I love Los Angeles).

Re-Edition capsule collection.

Reinterpretations of original runway works over the brand’s 23 year history.

Picked up a pair of white Trompe L’oeil Sneakers
Tempted to keep it as an art piece and not wear it.

[Galliano’s show] dared to inject an unfinished quality into the most polished fashion arena of them all. Sheer layers exposed the underlying construction of garments. The black floral designs that were picked out on a flaring white skirt were like an initial guide for a master embroiderer who would fill in the colors later. ~ Style

I came across a book that fell open to Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2009 collection.

(I wish I could have gone to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see that exhibit.)

Beautiful Ful AW2011 | Dries Van Noten SS 2012

Selection of 65+ selvedge denim fabrics from Japanese, Italian, and American mills.

Based in Manhattan’s SOHO District, the ‘3×1 Made Here’ brand experience is part retail store and part gallery space, with a complete jean manufacturing facility at its center.  Shoppers can watch jeans being constructed from start to finish behind three glass-walled rooms within the retail store.  Sewers, cutters, patternmakers, and designers are all completely immersed in their process, and customers are offered a one of a kind perspective and experience into how jeans are designed, developed and produced.

An interview with 3×1 founder, Scott Morrison, is here.
