In keeping with the latest internet meme of reimagining book covers, I stumbled upon M. S. Corley’s blog, which had even better redesigns. Creating a cohesive set of covers across two entire series of children’s books is much more difficult, in my opinion, than doing so for a single film or videogame.
Having read through both J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series & Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (my little brother was responsible for that), I am able to enjoy the redesigns to the fullest. These covers are incredibly insightful and cast the perfect mood with a minimalist approach. Less is definitely more!
